Marty Martinez
Marty Martinez is a legend of the New York radio scene, basically growing up on the airwaves of WNEW-FM, getting his nickname from the legendary Radio DJ Scot Muni, and becoming a well know voice at the station for over 22 years. After leaving WNEW, Martinez became the Program Director for the world’s FIRST Online Radio Station (eyada.com) during the 1990’s, before settling down for an 18 year run on the Top Drive Time Radio show at WRAT-FM, on the fabled Jersey Shore. During his years on Rock Radio, Marty has interviewed just about EVERY musician of note. In addition to his work as a DJ, Marty keeps busy with writing, music, Comic Books, Sci Fi, and the occasional Thomas Pynchon novel.

Gary Guzzo
Gary Guzzo grew up on the other side of the dial. A radio fanatic since childhood, Guzzo always had a destiny in Rock and Roll and started producing top name Rock and Roll live shows, while still in his teens. This lead to the formation of his staging company, International Video, and a focus on business and trade show staging. Following the devastation effects of Hurricane Andrew, Gary was contacted by his friends at Marvel Comics (having been connected to comic publishing for years) to produce a series of relief events for both the Comic Book Retailers, and citizens, of southern Florida. Upon his return to NY, Marvel petitioned to have Guzzo join the staff of Marvel Comics, where he was given the title of Director Of Publicity, and became the voice of Marvel Comics on radio, video, and live events, often being assigned to accompany the legendary Stan Lee at public functions. His time at Marvel in the 90s earned him a reputation for dreaming up huge promotions for Marvel Comics properties across the US.
Martinez and Guzzo, friends for many many years, started working together, on, of all things, a Comic Book script, which led to many phone calls which ended being more about Rock and Roll, than about the script, and Intelligent Insanity, and The Medicine Man was born.
